Shady Rosy is the name I gave my songwriting team made up of Tony Laviola on Bass and musical arrangements, as well as songwriting contributions, and myself on vocals and most of the lyrics, and a lot of the melodies.
My name is Louise Peacock. I was born in England, brought up in various parts of Europe, and finally settled in Canada.
I have been involved with music since an early age, with early musical influences being Portuguese folk music - Fado, Classical , and various types of pop and jazz music.
I studied classical guitar as a child, then piano. I disliked the theory part of the lessons, and my teachers gave up on me as being an impossible pupil.
Later, as an adult - I took both piano and guitar lessons, and progressed somewhat better.
I took jazz vocals and began to work seriously on songwriting in 2001. I hooked up with Tony Laviola in 2006, and we began to work on songs together.
Tony is an experienced jazz, rock and country musician with tremendous talent. Once we began to work together, everything clivked into place and we will be recording a country CD starting in December 2006.
