  Joshua got interested in music at the age of 9 years old when he heard his uncle playing AMAZING GRACE on the accordion at his father's funeral.  He  was so inspired and overwhelmed with sad emotions that he began to put his feelings on paper. 

  After his father's passing he experienced a difficult life in an orphanage in St.Johns NL. Using the music to forget all the sorrows around him,  He had found something to throw himself into.

  At the age of 13 he started his first band called NARROW EXPRESS. The band played mostly cover songs except for the one song he had written.          They lasted about 3 years and then went their separate ways.  Joshua felt it was for the best, so he then picked up guitar, piano and started working on his solo act, he played a few different gigs including playing live on C.B.C TV. Doors were opened in many ways for him and felt happy that for the first time people were hearing his music.

   At the age of 19 Just getting out from the orphanage moved to Ontario he and a few friends got together and tried to make it in the music business. Things became hard for them being far from home with not much money they would play on the streets of Toronto for there next meal.(playing for their supper) . Feeling very much alone and that things were not working out they all headed back to Newfoundland.

  In the summer of 1993 the band reconnected, they were going to give it another try but it was short lived and some of the guys headed back to Newfoundland but this time Joshua stayed and kept on pushing to get somewhere.

 Joshua has had a lot of up’s and down’s but here he is today seeing his Solo act go in all the right directions.
