BIOGRAPHY OF TRESSIAH BOMBINO
TRESSIAH BOMBINO was born in Toronto, Canada to Italian parents and has been singing since the age of eight. While singing in the local Church Choir Tressiah made an appearance on “The Tiny Talent Time Television Show” were she captured the attention of audience members and viewers which led to her to sing at most community colleges and appeared in a television commercial by the age of eleven. In 1993 after successfully graduating from “The Ontario Conservatory of Music” Tressiah also perused ballet and theatre arts, and played some guitar and clarinet. In 1999, Tressiah started to tour around Ontario and Italy performing at “The Salo Music Festival” and at “The African Musical Festival” in Italy. While living in Italy for several years, Tressiah decided to return back to Toronto in 2002 and began to write and produce her first album. In that same year she took part in “The Emergenza Festival Tour” and was hand selected by a panel of judges as not only being an outstanding performer but also one of the most creative artist amongst 200 performers. Tressiah showcases her talents as a singer, songwriter and producer singing in a distinct and unique voice, and triumphantly gives way to the birth of a new genre of African-Italian fusion, which was inspired by her ethnic Italian roots. In 2006 she released her first 12-track self-titled CD, which gets heavy credit for it’s original works and musical performance and is the best to ever come out of Canada. The music of traditional African-Italian fusion is a blend of modern Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop and Latin Jazz. Tressiah enlightens cultures, eras, styles, proverbs and chants, all while keeping her feet on the ground in custom made Roman Empire shoes. Tressiah shares the stage with elite musicians such as Joaquin Nunez Hidalgo (Rumberos, Esthero, Rick Lazar and Diana Krall), Elijah Mullin (Bobby Dreadfull, Funk-All-Star), Andrew Stewart (Eddie Bullen) and Henry Pupo (Tony Pierre). Tressiah’s remixes of “Speak da Truth” and “Split tin’” have been successfully aired on the Chris Sheppard 103.5 fm radio show and on Chin radio 102.5 fm radio in Toronto. The Music is currently being played throughout some nightclubs in Italy, Canada and Cuba and sold throughout most Independent record stores in Toronto. Tressiah continues to perform at venues throughout Ontario and at festivals in both Canada and Italy.
