The calendar is empty.

I don’t want to bore you with the details of how or when I started playing.  You see I wanted you to come feel what I was thinking, or to be part of my mind for about 3:50 sec or so, just enough for you to hang out and understand the journey. I am not the kind of person who sits around all day and writes song after song after song. The songs usually take some time to form in my head or on paper. When I sit down to write, I usually want to work out some issue that is unresolved. This could be about me, but it most likely could be about you. Maybe something you said to me yesterday that has made me think things are not as they seem. The Queen of paper trails sounds like a great way to describe me when it comes to the way I compose lyrics. I may write something one way and feel it’s not quite right and will cross out idea, after idea, after idea. Any piece of scrap paper will do. This means I could have a ridiculous mound of paper by the time I finish a song. A piece of paper may only contain one line of lyrics. Words seem to come and go so quickly in my head and I refuse to take the time to write in a linear fashion. I have lost brilliant lyrics because I didn’t have a piece of paper and pen handy. I think sticky notes were Gods gift to women. I don’t have any musical influences. In fact sometimes I will go without listening to music for days, and I very rarely listen to the radio. I am a misfit in a band of musical Pop Culture goo roos. There are days when music distracts my own creating process, and times when it inspires. When I finish a piece I very rarely go back to it. I try and forget the melody and chord progressions completely so I can be free and open for a new way of thinking and writing. I fail a lot of times, which makes success taste so much sweeter in the end. I hope you come visit me often, on-line and in concert. I hope you feel free to come and tell me a good story. Everybody needs a good story to save them from their own reality. Who knows, your story could be my next creation.

Her personlity brings the songs to a whole different level, and makes it enjoyable to listen over and over again! Seriously... BUY her CD, it's great. A must have for the year... for the Rest of Your Life! This girl is going to go FAR in life!

Dude, you Rock! Posted by shels on January 27, 2005    I love the sound of your voice! You have a unique tone that I have never heard, and I love it. The song slide has a great groove, and your lyrics are awesome. If anyone out there reads this that hasn't checked this cd out yet, STOP WHAT YOUR DOING AND START LISTENING. It just might change you too.
