66e are ed, dave, mick, anthony and al, and spent 2004 relaying the sound from their heads to various recording modules.the result is 'fall down 7 times... stand up 8'.
Released in early 2005 the album received rave reviews and is continuing to gain the band fans from across the world
Hotpress "In all, Fall Down Seven Times Stand Up eight is an album whose sense of wonderment is at once both deep and immediate. Expect great things from these guys...you wont be dissapointed.
EIGHT POINT FIVE/TEN."
eclectic honey "almost like Godspeed You Black Emperor for those of us with short attention spans. Amongst the abstract shape-throwing, there are definite pop-sensibilities at play, and it’s this which makes Fall Down Seven Times… such a welcome listening experience."
The RTE Guide "Fall Down...is a lovingly recorded, meticulously detailed, collection that manages to glide with orchestral grandeur, and thrash out like yank emo rock, on tracks such as Ends, 66e are home and One Cast One Catch. Their trump card is the angelic-voiced Ed Cullen, a man who brings anguished passion and churchy reverence to this rediculously accomplished record."
Following the release of the album the band spent much of 2005 gigging to and gaining exposure across Ireland. The zenith of which was an unforgetable performance at the Oxegen festival, sharing the stage with Interpol and Athlete. Later in the summer the band wound up a heavy schedule with a show at the Hard Working Class Heroes festival, a showcase weekend for Ireland's top unsigned bands.
