About (K) Hadija
My name is Khadija; pronounced “Ha-di-jah” and I am a singer and song writer. My music is a fusion of moody rhythms, haunting melodies nostalgic of Sade, Arabic harmonies and poignant lyrics that reverberate. My voice is like my music, my own, personal and distinctive.
This is the first time I am sharing my music with the world. The songs published here are not available for purchase because they were made a while back and even though they sound passionate, I feel that they barely tackled the mood, core and rhythm of the music playing in me. Meanwhile, I am in search of musicians/producers to collaborate with in bringing to life a new wave of music that will inspire listeners to both move and appreciate the depth of my lyrics.
Like most musicians writing songs has been cathartic for me, it is the shield that protects me from the random afflictions of reality and the sword I use to ward off intruders . I have also found refuge in writing both poetry and short stories. I am currently slaving away behind my computer in composition of a dynamic new web lounge that will be publishing before the years end.
