About adam weaver and the ghosts
I moved to Omaha from Mississippi just over two years ago. Back in the South, I had played drums in several rock bands that played regularly in the college towns of Oxford, Starkville, Columbus, and Hattiesburg, Mississippi. When the final band, the Sunset Manual, broke up, I began to focus more on songwriting. After hearing several of these songs, Trent Dabbs, lead singer for the Sunset Manual, convinced me that this new endeavor should be pursued. Before leaving Mississippi, Dabbs and I, along with several other friends and ex-bandmates took this collection of songs into the studio and recorded Someday These Will Be Yesterdays, an 8 song EP released independently.
After arriving in Omaha, I began to play small acoustic shows at a variety of venues. I continued writing, and have made two trips to Mr. Lemons studio in Nashville while working on a forthcoming album. The most recent sessions in Nashville included Dabbs, Neilson Hubbard, Garrison Starr, and Kate York, as well as several Omaha musicians who have begun to support me.
Currently, the Ghosts include Kyle Moeller (drums), Andrew Penke (bass, keyboards), and Joe Ranne (guitar). Each of the Ghosts has been involved in a number of collaborative and solo projects before working with me.
