About Sean Wiggins

Born in New York, living in LA, and touring everywhere in between, Sean Wiggins has honed her skills as an alternative country / rock goddess with a blues edge. Whether backed by Linda Moss (harmonica), a full band, or standing solo on the stage, Wiggins easily draws audiences into her groove with soulful lyrics and powerful vocals. Live, her stage presence and humorous banter are completely captivating. Sean has toured the US in support of her last three independent solo releases, playing clubs, festivals and colleges in Nashville, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Boston and a myriad of cities throughout the US. She also regularly graces the stages of California (her “home” state) from San Diego to San Francisco. From New York's CBGB's to Chicago's Hard Rock Café, from LA's Troubadour to Eddie's Attic in Atlanta, Sean has headlined, shared the stage with and opened for international acts including Sophie B Hawkins, Jill Sobule, Julia Fordham, Cyndi Lauper, Patrice Pike, Billie Myers and Melissa Ferrick. Sean's song No Difference won 1st place in the Billboard Song Contest 2002. Her music has been featured on the award-winning indie film God, Sex, and Apple Pie and MTV's hit night drama MTV Undressed. VW Hatchback, from her CD 1000 Steps, became a 2001 MP3 Hot Pick and climbed the charts on their Alternative General board. Sean's songs were selected for SBC Records' first nationally distributed compilation as well as GoGirlsMusic.com's 2001 & 2002 compilation CD releases. Sean Wiggins' songs receive local and national radio plays as well as national and international Internet play. Her CDs are available through Borders Books, Goldenrod Music, Amazon.com and Cdbaby.com. Sean also appears on access television shows airing in New York City and Los Angeles. Wiggins has recorded with producers such as Michael Sembello (Diana Ross, Gerardo), David Campbell (Alanis Morissette, James Taylor), Howie Rice (Pointer Sisters) and Genya Ravan. She boasts coverage by a variety of publications including Bam Magazine & Music Connection. "Sean Wiggins could easily be misidentified as a simple singer/songwriter, but what she does is so much more. She actually takes you into her world and makes you feel right at home.” -Music Connection
