About Allison Thrash (2006)
Allison Thrash, born in Dallas, Texas, is the youngest of the three children of Patricia Francis and John Thrash. Both parents loved music and sang throughout Allison's childhood passing on to all three children a deep love of music and a passion for performing. As a young child and throughout her high school years, Allison performed every chance she got, either singing in school choirs or providing piano accompaniment for others.

In 2004, Allison developed her own label Head On Records and released Talking Thrash, a full length CD of her own original tunes written in homage to “women who love men ...a lot. The CD was recorded in Austin and produced by David Breaux and featured various musicians such as Ephraim Owens, Philippe Vieux, Matt Hubbard and David Love contributing their talents. "Woman Enough", is Allison's tribute to Billie Holiday and her self-penned tune, "Don't Explain", while "Mean Mean Man" was written in an effort to draw attention to the enduring crime of violence against women and children.
Allison's vocal performance has been described as "...leaving no crumbs on the table.. Her voice has been called "...absolutely sultry...powerful...new, unique and different...S-T-R-O-N-G...” Allison Thrash and her handpicked band of talented and seasoned Austin Jazz/Blues musicians perform regularly at such noted Austin venues as La Zona Rosa, the Broken Spoke, the Saxon Pub, and the 311 Club.
