13th Avenue

13th Avenue was a side project. Started by Danny Melgarejo in the basement of the house where he was living, he began to create music for what would have been his next solo album. At the job he recently landed (at a resturant on 13th Avenue in Minneapolis, MN), he met Michael Letsinger, a guitair player and singer. He asked Michael to come to his place and try singing over a track that he thought would sound great with someone else's voice. Danny liked what he heard from the throat of Michael and asked him to do vocals over the entire album. Michael agreed and took a rough draft home to work on lyrics and vocal parts for what would become "A Stream of Consciousness".

The CD got recorded and eventualy, a band was born from it. The band had some fun and changed lead singers quite a few times untill it's demise in early 2004. Currently, Danny keeps busy with various musical projects and Michael continues to rock with the trio Xerus. Both still keep in touch.
