Candygram For Mongo's (C4M) much anticipated self-titled, second album, hit the market in 2008 with 13 lucky tracks that rip, rock, and roll. Critics agree that record two “has more hooks than a tackle box,” has “the sharp songwriting skills you’d hear from the likes of Elvis Costello or Cheap Trick” and "delivers on the promise that it makes of having a good time."
C4M began in late 2005 with Tony Shea, The Voice, and Gary Sharp, The Drums. By bringing on James Baker, The Bass, and Dan Cohen, The Guitar, the guys made their Rock-n-Roll resurgence a reality. C4M combines the best of 50-years of rock and powerpop with high-speed anthems that could make the dead rise up and cheer. If Johnny Cash and The Foo Fighters dated the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders - it would sound like C4M!
The band's first release, THE RED PILL, was a critical smash. Their song, STORY OF TRIUMPH, earned C4M their on-screen, television debut in the Fox sitcom, UNHITCHED, by the Farrelly Bros (Dumb & Dumber). They’ve also placed music in the hit series, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, and in independent films. Skratch Magazine wrote, "Sugary yet shouted choruses and a versatile knowledge of the rock 'n roll playbook...set [C4M] way ahead of the rest of the whiners, poseurs and talentless but popular acts on the scene."
