About Athenia Henderson

Athenia Henderson was born of Noreen and Goddard Austrie in the
beautiful Caribbean island of Dominica ( not to be mistaken for the
Dominican Republic).

While only 3 she was enrolled in her first church choir, which was
directed by her mother. This was the beginning of the musical journey
which made Athenia both member, and leader of several choirs, for many
years.

In 2000 Athenia was invited to sing with her first band _ Swinging
Starz- a reknowned band in her home town. She has toured cities in
Canada and The United States of America for 3 years with this band. She
later migrated to New York after falling in love with the city during a
tour.

After 4 years of performing with various cover bands in New York and
New Jersey, Athenia became a song writer and singer of her own music.

Currently Athenia is preparing the release of her single - 'A song in
my head'. The song captures the heart of all those who ever had - a
song in their heads. This beautiful arrangement of melody and lyrics is
sure to have you singing and dancing along in no time.
